You can do strength training exercises more than two times every week. The exercises should target your major muscle groups. For instance, you can do body-weight training, use weight machines, and lift free weights. 

Spread the exercises throughout the week. Do moderate aerobic exercises for more than 300 minutes every week if you want to gain more benefits, including meeting your fitness goals and losing weight. 

Remember to talk to your doctor before you start a new workout program. This is specifically for people with chronic health problems or those who have not done any physical exercise in a long time or have concerns about their fitness.
